Each month Mediplacements like to recognise one of our locums for their personal achievements and commitment to the healthcare service. This month we have the pleasure of recognising the work of Chuck, a Pharmacist from Bury.
Chuck started working for us in June 2016 before taking up a permanent position for a while and has recently returned to locum work with us again.
Chuck was nominated by our pharmacy recruitment consultant Divya, who said “I have known Chuck for three years and we have a great relationship, he is very loyal and a great worker who always gives 100% commitment to his roles”.
Get to know a little more about Chuck…
Current Locum position? Band 8b Pharmacist Prescriber
Personal achievements within the role? Conducting clinical assessments and prescribing.
What do you enjoy about being a locum? Having the freedom to choose where I want to work and the weekly payroll.
Most memorable moment within your career? Twice I have provided over-the-counter medication (Glyceryl trinitrotoluene spray) for patients presenting with angina. I recognised their symptoms and was satisfied it was a medicine they had in the past. Both patients recovered soon after using the spray and I advised them to report the episode to their GP or dial 999 for an ambulance if uncertain.
