At Mediplacements we like to celebrate the personal achievements of our locums and this month we have the pleasure of recognising Seema, a Dietitian that has joined us all the way from Australia earlier this year.
Nominated by our expert Consultant Kim, Seema has proved to have made an amazing impression with her hard work and blissful personality.
‘It’s a pleasure working with her and I think she has been very brave to come over from the other side of the world and start workin the space of a week!’ says Kim.
We thought we would ask a few questions to get to know more about Seema…
Current Locum position? Band 5 Locum Community Dietitian.
Personal achievements within the role? This is my first locum role in the UK and I have already learnt so much. I was lucky enough to secure this position within a week of arriving in the UK. I have definitely gained a lot more confidence with my dietetic skills and this is something I hope to continue to develop throughout my career.
What do you enjoy about being a locum? The flexibility and having the opportunity to experience working such diverse environments and positions around the UK. I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends along way.
Most memorable moment within your career? Securing my first locum position in the UK. Although I had and still have great support from Mediplacements moving over to the UK was quite daunting so getting that first position is something I won’t be forgetting about anytime soon.
