You may be aware of the Government’s current strategy to reduce national spend on the cost of temporary staff within the NHS.
As a result, Monitor and the NHS Trust Development Authority (TDA) are proposing to introduce nationwide caps on the hourly costs of temporary NHS healthcare workers.
If the proposals are approved; reductions in costs are scheduled to be introduced in three stages; beginning in November 2015 with subsequent reductions in February and April 2016. If you wish to find out more about the proposals, please take some time to read through the consultation document here.
A public consultation regarding this is now underway to canvass stakeholder insight and opinion from all relevant parties. As an established NHS Framework supplier, we feel it our duty to inform our clients and candidates of these proposals and provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the consultation process by completing an online questionnaire.
We will of course update you on any further developments as they occur.
