Working with Childrens Charity Prevention Town, Mediplacements have made a donation to help fund the arrival of a new interactive touch screen into Chelsea and Westminster’s A&E unit.

Prevention Town; a children’s charity dealing with a wide range of subjects relating to children’s wellbeing and safety, are pursuing an important campaign throughout 2011/2012 to supply educational screens in A&E departments across the UK.

In partnership with the London and South East Burn’s Network, Prevention Town rely on help from the private sector to raise capital for the screens, and are proud to be installing four interactive screens to Chelsea and Westminster A&E, Queen Mary A&E, Roehampton Dressing Clinic and Chelsea & Westminster Burns Unit.

Not only will they help patients to pass the time within busy A&Es, the new interactive screens provide a unique way of educating the public through animations (films); teaching children and young adults about burns and scalds prevention.

246 children visit A&E every hour, every day! With most of these accidents proving avoidable, the work of Prevention Town strives to educate and dramatically reduce these statistics…

We’ll Prevention Town, you have our full support!
