With little over a week to go until the Institute of Biomedical Science's (IBMS) conference, excitement is building for professionals who plan to attend the event at the ICC in Birmingham.
The three-day conference, which starts on September 28th, will cover a number of industry-relevant topics, helping biomedical scientists to further expand their professional and vocational development.
One of the key topics being discussed will be clinical chemistry, with Congress 2015 promising to be the go-to event in this area this year. Featuring a number of leading experts and hot topics, the event aims to bring attendees bang up to date, as well as covering bases such as research in laboratories.
Those of you interested in Cytopathology will get the opportunity to hear feedback from the human papillomavirus (HPV) primary screening pilot that took place in Sheffield. Speakers will also be providing updates on the changes made to the Advanced Specialist Diploma in Gynaecological Cytology and the newly developed Advanced Specialist Diploma in Non-Gynaecological Cytology.
The busy event is packed filled with many more talks and captivating information including the best approach when it comes to training staff, discussions on transfusion science, personalised and community medicine and a special session will also be dedicated to the late George Garratty, one of the UK’s greatest serologists.
