GPS Update: Merger to CCS

Sunday 2nd February 2014

The NHS National Framework agreements for temporary staffing within Allied Health, Health Science and Medical Locums currently administered by the Government Procurement Service (GPS), are to commence new management by the Crown Commercial Service.

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) is a new centralized procurement service for Government, acting on behalf of the Crown, to drive savings for the taxpayer and improve the quality of commercial and procurement activity across the UK public sector.

CCS brings together, as one organisation, Government Procurement Service (GPS), the commercial function of the Cabinet Office, and common goods and services procurement and commercial management currently undertaken by departments.

Its vision is to deliver value for the nation through outstanding commercial capability and quality customer service.

Please be aware that Crown Commercial Service (CCS) will take president over all former titles in relation to the National Framework agreement, including those more commonly recognised within the Healthcare arena such as GPS, Buying Solutions and even PaSA frameworks.
