Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced Sonographer to fill a locum position in London.

Our client is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration. The position offers a pay rate of £25 - £30 per hour.

Successful candidate must be HCPC registered.

Sonographer required to cover obstetric and gynae
* Perform high quality ultrasound examinations using analytical and judgement skills to interpret complex images.
* Formulate comprehensive, diagnostic, independently written reports for each examination. * Communicate distressing and unwelcome/unexpected news directly to patients using tact, empathy and diplomacy.
* Communicate complex information regarding diagnosis/treatment directly to clinicians and patients.
* Maintain personal clinical expertise in ultrasound scanning including ongoing CPD
* Review, update and maintain the patients' clinical records.
* Participate in teaching students and clinicians in the field of ultrasound. Participate in the departmental QA and vetting of ultrasound requests.
* Deal with conflicting demands from different staff groups at all levels.
* Have flexible approach to work and ability to work under pressure of high workloads ACAS accredited qualification. FASP experience/DQASS essential. NHS experience essential
