Mediplacements are currently looking to recruit an experienced Mental Health Pharmacist for a locum role in Lancashire.

The pay for this position is £27-£40 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Successful candidates must hold an MPharm degree, be GPHC registered.

The post will be based at a mental health inpatient unit based in Blackpool and the successful applicant will form part of a Pharmacy team on site consisting of a Deputy Lead Pharmacist, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Assistants. Whilst we have no dispensary and the provision of medication for our inpatients is via a service level agreement from a third party provider the post holder will be required to provide a predominantly clinical role. This will consist of largely but not solely the following activities, clinical verification of prescription charts, prescribing advice, medicines reconciliation on admission and discharge and patient counselling. Ideally the post holder will have experience of working with patients who have a diagnosis of mental ill health whether that be within a specialist mental health service environment or more broadly within previous roles.
